Modi to Attend AI Summit in Paris This February

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed his attendance at the Summit on Action for Artificial Intelligence, scheduled for February 10 and 11 in Paris, France.

French President Emmanuel Macron extended his congratulations to Modi and the Indian people on Republic Day in an X post, recalling his presence as chief guest at the 2024 Republic Day parade. Macron wrote, “Looking forward to seeing you in France in February for the Summit on Action for Artificial Intelligence.”

In response, Modi expressed his gratitude, highlighting the deep ties between the two nations.

“Your august presence last year was a high point in our strategic partnership. See you soon at the AI Action Summit in Paris as we work together for a better future for humanity,” he wrote.

The event is expected to host representatives from over 100 countries and 1,000 participants from the private sector and civil society. This marks Modi’s first visit to France during his third term as Prime Minister. There is also speculation about a potential meeting with US President Donald Trump if he attends the summit.
