NAF Confirms C-130’s Burkina Faso Landing

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that one of its C-130 transport aircraft made a precautionary landing in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, on Monday, following a technical concern detected shortly after takeoff from Lagos.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, explained that the aircraft was en route to Portugal on a ferry mission when the crew observed an issue requiring an immediate diversion to the nearest suitable airfield. The move, according to the Air Force, was carried out in line with international aviation protocols and standard operational safety procedures.

NAF said all crew members are safe and were warmly received by Burkinabe authorities upon landing.
