The latest live reading for September 4 puts the official rate at N1,323.21, although the figure can change with new market transactions.

In the parallel market, dealers are quoting about N1,400 to buy one dollar and N1,410 to sell.
At the N1,410 selling rate, $100 costs about N141,000, while $1,000 costs approximately N1.41 million.
The difference between the latest official rate and the parallel-market selling rate is about N86.79 per dollar.
The gap reflects differences in pricing, liquidity and trading conditions between the two markets.
Parallel-market rates may also vary by dealer, location, and transaction size.
