Namibia: SWAPO Elects Nandi-Ndaitwah as Party President

Namibia’s ruling party, SWAPO, has elected Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as its party president during the 6th Extraordinary Congress held in Windhoek on Saturday.

Currently serving as the party’s vice president, Nandi-Ndaitwah is also Namibia’s president-elect and will be sworn in on March 21, succeeding Dr Nangolo Mbumba as the country’s leader.
