NASA Delays Crewed Moon Mission Launch

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced on Saturday that the Artemis 2 mission—the first crewed lunar flyby in over half a century—will no longer launch in March.

The delay stems from technical complications discovered during pre-flight preparations.

The primary issue involves a malfunctioning helium flow system within the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.

Isaacman confirmed on X that the time required to address the hardware failure “takes the March launch window out of consideration.”

Engineers are now working to resolve the flow problem before setting a new target date for the historic mission.
