The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Mohammed-Jauro, has dismissed reports claiming that members of a Boko Haram splinter group are operating in the state.

Speaking at a press briefing, CP Mohammed-Jauro explained that the police command had been alerted to social media posts alleging that a faction of the terrorist group, identified as “Wulo-Wulo,” had infiltrated parts of the North Central region.

He clarified that a thorough and coordinated investigation, carried out in partnership with other security agencies and local vigilante groups, found no evidence to support the claim.Police (News Central TV)
