Nations League: Netherlands Advance, as Germany Smash Bosnia 7-0

The Netherlands powered past Hungary 4-0 on Saturday in a decisive Nations League Group A3 match, securing their spot in the quarter-finals alongside a dominant Germany, who thrashed Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-0.

Both the Netherlands and Hungary entered the clash tied on five points, with a win necessary to advance. Early penalties from Wout Weghorst and Cody Gakpo set the tone for the Oranje, while second-half goals from Denzel Dumfries and Teun Koopmeiners sealed the result at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The game was briefly paused in the seventh minute due to a medical emergency involving Hungary’s assistant coach, Ádám Szalai. Shielded by a white sheet, Szalai received treatment before being stretchered off to applause from fans and players. The Hungarian FA later confirmed he was conscious and in stable condition at a hospital in Amsterdam.
