Senator Ned Nwoko, husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has denied online rumours claiming he has married another woman.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Saturday, Nwoko dismissed the reports as “false” and “malicious,” saying that a circulating video had been deliberately distorted to generate social media attention.
He explained that the woman featured in the video had visited him with her team under the Peace Ambassadors initiative, led by Ambassador Dr Adejo Sule, and that photos taken during the courtesy visit were now being misrepresented online.

“It is unfortunate what social media has become—a space where simple gestures are twisted for clout and misinformation,” he wrote, stressing that he has no personal relationship with the woman.
Nwoko described the claims as “mischievous and defamatory,” warning that anyone spreading such fabrications would face legal consequences under the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.
The statement comes amid a wave of controversy sparked by a viral video of Regina Daniels accusing Nwoko of domestic violence, to which he responded by alleging that the actress is battling drug and alcohol addiction
