NELFUND Cautions Students Over Fake Loan Site

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students regarding a fraudulent loan registration message circulating online.

The message asks applicants to visit a third-party link, http://gvly.xyz/Nelfund-Student-Loan, which, according to the agency, is unauthorised and fraudulent.

In a statement posted on its official X account on Tuesday, NELFUND cautioned students against clicking on the suspicious link or sharing any personal information.

The agency emphasised that the official student loan portal can only be accessed through its verified website and official social media channels.

“Applicants are encouraged to always verify official announcements via NELFUND’s official website and social media channels,” the statement read.

The alert forms part of its ongoing initiative to safeguard students and ensure that the student loan application process remains secure and reliable.
