Babatunde Koiki has over 15 years of experience in the Nigerian broadcast industry on both radio and tv. He has worked and collaborated with the likes of Kandaval Sports, Channels TV, Complete Sports, The Beat 99.9FM, Classic FM 97.3, Lagos Talks 91.3FM, BBC Sport Africa, SuperSport, Afrosport, La Liga and the Premier League. He is currently the sports desk manager at News Central TV. He personally created, produced and presented over 1000 nationally syndicated episodes of SportsPlanet, one of the longest running sports shows on Nigerian radio, which first aired in October 2011. In 2014, he was nominated in the Radio Presenter of the Year category of the Nigeria Media Merit Award. In 2018, he was chosen by the Spanish La Liga to join a select group of journalists from 11 countries around the world on a working tour of Spanish football clubs in four cities, namely Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Deportivo Alavés and Eibar. Babatunde is also a very highly sought-after analyst in boxing and MMA. He was also the host for TOP Sprinter, Nigeria’s first athletics reality show in 2016. He maintains active interests in athletics and boxing. An accomplished voice-over artist, he has lent his unique vocal talents to many media campaigns for domestic and international brands, including Nokia, MTN, Airtel, Startimes, Nigerite, Pepsi, SuperSport, etc. His interests are reading, travel, trying new culinary experiences and fitness.
