Joe Hanson started his media career in 2004 with Brila FM in Lagos as a sportscaster, reporter and producer while hosting the morning and drive time shows, and left as a media executive. He had a stint with two major advertising agencies before delving into consulting and content creation. His first and major television show was on OMG GROUP, where he worked as a content producer/presenter for the weekend football broadcast and was the official VOICE NARRATOR for NIGERIAN IDOL and NIGERIA HAS GOT TALENT for only one season. He would later work with an independent production outfit that produced a Central Bank of Nigeria TV show – YOU AND ECONOMY as an anchor for two seasons, after which he was the narrator for Mo Abudu’s reality TV show - DEBATERS. Often called the “ideas factory”, he conceptualised, created, and produced highly rated entertainment, sports, news, and business shows such as FUZE ON RADIO/TV, INSIDE SPORTS RADIO/TV, BUSINESS, TRAVELS AND TOURISM while working with Upfront & Personal as Group GM productions. He is currently the Team lead/Producer and co-host of News Central’s news and current affairs leading breakfast show in Nigeria – BREAKFAST CENTRAL. His ability to narrate and extract key points during his interviews while breaking down hard concepts into simplified explanations sets him apart as an anchor who doesn’t just know the stories but sees through the blind spots. Joe Hanson likes to consider himself an athlete, having played Basketball as a point guard at a semi-pro level. He loves playing football too and is a staunch lover of good music and doing what you love doing.
