The recognition at the TNB Awards reflects the journalists’ dedication and professionalism, as well as News Central’s commitment to quality journalism.
The TNB, now in its second edition, is organised by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) to recognise excellence and professionalism in Nigeria’s broadcast industry. It is also designed to celebrate outstanding achievements and promote quality media practice across radio and television platforms.
The 2026 edition attracted a total of 204 entries, covering broadcast performances in 2025. The entries were reviewed by an awards selection committee chaired by Danladi Bako, alongside representatives from key industry bodies including the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria and the National Broadcasting Commission.
Winners were announced across 24 categories, including Radio and Television Station of the Year, Best Reporter, Best Newscaster, and Best Producer, among others.
