Nicaragua has severed diplomatic ties with Israel, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Nicaraguan government stated that the decision was reached unanimously by the National Assembly.
The government condemned what it described as Israel’s genocidal and oppressive policies against Palestinians, highlighting the suffering caused by Israeli military actions.
Nicaragua also voiced concerns about Israel’s actions against Lebanon, and its threats towards Syria, Yemen, and Iran, warning that such moves could jeopardise peace across the region and beyond.
The Central American nation affirmed its unwavering support for Palestine and its government, standing against what it referred to as destruction and barbarism.
