NIGERIA: Four Injured in Lagos Gas Explosion

Four adults; three females and one male adult have suffered varying degrees of injuries as a result of a gas explosion in Agege area of Lagos State.

According to an investigation by the LRT, one of the gas cylinders kept in a shop exploded due to a leak and started a fire as a result.

The injured individuals from the explosion were reportedly transported to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) after receiving pre-hospital care from the Agency and LASAMBUS.

According to LASEMA, the inferno was entirely put out by the combined efforts of the Agency’s LRT and LASG Fire, and a post-incident evaluation was carried out by the LRT and LASG Fire.

In order to prevent a secondary incident, the shop has been roped off, it was noted.
