Nigeria International Trade Fair Returns to Lagos

The Nigeria International Trade Fair (NITF) is set to make a long-awaited return from November 21 to 30, 2025, at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The revived edition marks the restoration of the fair’s original name, location, and national mandate after several years on hold.

This year’s theme, “Trade, Technology and Transformation: Leveraging Digital Trade for Economic and Industrial Growth,” underscores Nigeria’s renewed focus on using innovation to drive commerce and industry.

Organised by the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, NITF reclaims its position as the country’s official national marketplace and a regional gateway for cross-border trade in West Africa.

Building on last year’s successful Commercial & Industrial Trade Fair, the 2025 edition will gather businesses, investors, policymakers, and international exhibitors from sectors including agriculture, textiles, electronics, manufacturing, creative industries, and emerging technologies. The fair will blend B2B transactions with public exhibitions and experiential showcases, giving both large brands and small enterprises a platform to engage and grow.

Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, described the event’s revival as “a practical step toward strengthening Nigeria’s commercial and industrial base in an interconnected global economy.”

“The Trade Fair Complex is back,” Oduwole said. “It is our commitment to building a stronger, more connected ecosystem that links Nigerian producers with both regional and global demand.”

Executive Director, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Vera Ndanusa.

Echoing her remarks, Barr. Safiya Ndanusa, Executive Director and CEO of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board, said the fair will host over 10,000 visitors and multiple country delegations during its ten-day run.

“This is where West Africa connects, scales, and signs the deals that matter,” Ndanusa said. “We’re introducing the NITF Awards this year to celebrate excellence and innovation among participants.”

The 2025 edition is backed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, whose leadership and technical support have been pivotal in restoring the fair. Collaboration with the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), under Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim has also been key to realising this renewed vision.

Founded in 1981, the Nigeria International Trade Fair is the country’s flagship trade platform designed to boost commerce and investment across ECOWAS and beyond.

Organised by the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment, the fair brings together businesses, investors, and policymakers to promote exports, industrial growth, and regional collaboration.
