The Nigerian government has announced the reopening of the 47 Unity Schools that were previously shut due to security concerns.
The Ministry of Education made this known in a statement released on Thursday, December 18.
According to the ministry, the move reflects the government’s strong commitment to safeguarding students and ensuring that learning continues without disruption.
The Unity Schools were closed weeks ago at the directive of the Nigerian government after the abduction of students from schools in some parts of the country.
