Nigerian Army Neutralise 21 Boko Haram Terrorists in Geidam

Troops of the Nigerian Army in Operation Lafiya Dole killed at least 21 terrorists in Geidam, Yobe State, Northeast Nigeria.

The terrorists attacked the border town, destroying three communication masts and looting shops before the intervention of soldiers.

According to a statement by the Military, the Air Component of Operation Lafiya Dole helped in closing the terrorists down in quick time as they recovered a gun truck with anti-aircraft gun mounted on it, right AK 47 rifles, ten magazines and rocket-propelled grenade bombs.

They also recovered Commando Mortar Tube, 3 IEDs blasting devices, tool boxes, communication radios, cell phones and other items.

The Army said the only scathing it suffered were on three soldiers who were injured in the battle but are in stable condition in the hospital.

It added that soldiers are still in the forests trying to recover more terrorists as many of them ran with injuries.
