A Nigerian man, identified as Obinna Igbokwe has been confirmed dead, after fatally shooting himself following a failed attempt to run away with his 3-month-old baby on Thursday.
He lived in Texas, USA with his family, shot his wife and mother-in-law in the head at close range, before proceeding to run away with their baby.
The incident led to the activation of an Amber Alert, but shortly before 2:00am it was discontinued after the baby was found and confirmed safe.
Reports have it that Igbokwe, 41, became violent when his wife, identified as Tangela Igbokwe, insisted for a divorce. Although she survived the gunshot, her grandmother, identified as Linda Larkins unfortunately, died at the scene of the shooting.
