Nigerian Troops of 3 Division and Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), under Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A, have neutralised two kidnappers, arrested suspected gunrunners, and recovered arms in Plateau and Kaduna states.
Troops launched an offensive in Kuru and Turu, Jos South LGA, Plateau State on March 12, 2025 , targeting criminal hideouts. Two armed kidnappers were eliminated, and 27 rounds of ammunition were recovered.

On the same day, troops arrested 21-year-old gunrunner Sengi David at a checkpoint on the Bokkos – Bot – Mangu road in Plateau State. One AK-47 magazine and 48 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition were seized.
In Kaduna State, troops arrested 22-year-old Blessed Paul, a wanted kidnapper and arms dealer, on 11 March 2025. He was lured back from Abuja with a fake arms deal. An AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and ammunition were recovered.
Additionally, troops rescued two kidnapped girls, 11-year-old Nanbam Adamu and Dorcas Wantu, near Josho Village, Bokkos LGA. The captors fled upon sighting the troops.
The 3 Division and OPSH say they remain committed to security and urge the public to provide credible intelligence to support their operations.
