NLNG Appoints Leye Falade as CEO

Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) has appointed Leye Falade as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Falade will assume office on April 26, succeeding Philip Mshelbila.

He currently serves as Managing Director of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, a role he has held since April 2024. Before then, he was Shell’s Country Chair in Namibia from September 2023 to April 2024.

Falade previously worked at Nigeria LNG Limited as General Manager, Production, between May 2019 and September 2023. Earlier in his career, he served as Regional AMS Implementation Manager at Shell in The Hague, Netherlands, from May 2018 to April 2019, and as Operations Manager at NLNG from July 2015 to May 2018.

NLNG said the incoming CEO has extensive experience across upstream and midstream assets in seven countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Russia and Africa.

The company added that Falade brings strong expertise in gas and petroleum operations, engineering, product optimisation, business improvement and change management.

He holds an engineering degree and an MBA from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom.
