NYSC Announces Swearing-In, Orientation Schedule

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course, to begin on April 22, 2026, across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

NYSC, in a statement on Wednesday, signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the 21-day exercise will start with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) from April 22 to April 24, with the swearing-in scheduled for April 24.

It added that the orientation programme will conclude on May 12, 2026.

Prospective members were urged to “break their journeys once it’s 6.00 pm and pass the night at any available Corps Members’ Lodge, military formation, police station/outpost or palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country, then continue the following morning.”

The announcement follows a supplementary online registration exercise for newly uploaded prospective corps members, which will run from April 9 to April 11, 2026.

“Supplementary online registration for recently uploaded prospective corps members commences Thursday, 9th – Saturday, 11th April 2026,” the scheme stated in a post on its X account.

The scheme reminded candidates to prepare all necessary documents and personal information in advance to ensure a smooth registration process.
