Odinga Wants President Ruto to Reduce Tax Burden on Kenyans

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader Raila Odinga has begun actively playing his opposition role in President William Ruto’s administration.

Raila warned the Kenya Kwanza government against overtaxing Kenyans who were already suffering from the extremes of the economy.

The veteran politician confirmed that Azimio la Umoja and Kenya Kwanza promised Kenyans to implement their promises without increasing taxes.

The former premier maintained that his team would vehemently resist any efforts by the president to increase taxes to finance wanton corruption.

Addressing the media, the common mwananchi defender said that Kenyans could not afford common household commodities and, therefore, could not pay heavy taxes.
