The 33-year-old, who also played for Watford in the Premier League, left Old Trafford in 2021 after just one season with the Red Devils. He joined Al Hilal in January after a year with Al Shabab, another Saudi Arabian club.

Al Hilal, who are vying for a fifth consecutive championship, are also on course to become the first team to do so since Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad in 2005.
