One Dead as Oil Tanker Rams Into 10 Vehicles in Lagos

One person has been confirmed dead following an accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Maryland, Lagos State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the tragic incident involved a fuel tanker, which crashed into 10 vehicles, resulting in the fatality near Kresta Laurel Plaza, Maryland.

It was alleged that the tanker driver was intoxicated and driving at high speed at the time of the accident.

“He was unaware of the fact that he had rammed into the vehicles. The person who died was avoiding being hit by the tanker. He jumped out of his vehicle. Unfortunately, the tanker ran over him, smashing his head to the ground,” an eyewitness told Media.

The Police and other safety officials arrived at the scene of the accident to clear the wreckage.
