President Bola Tinubu on Thursday consoled a mother seen in a viral video holding her deceased son, Ayuba, following the recent attacks in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State.
“I know the pain; I saw how, in the video, you held on to your son, Ayuba, and the pain and agony in your heart, but it’s only God who can give you joy and comfort,” Tinubu told the woman while addressing victims’ families and representatives.
The President assured families that the government would provide support, noting that no financial compensation could replace lost lives.

“No amount of money can pay all of you back. ‘As a government, we will do our best to comfort you,” he said.
Tinubu had visited Jos following last Sunday’s attack, which claimed at least 27 lives, and was received at the airport by Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, and other officials.
Speaking earlier, Tinubu condemned the attacks as “barbaric and cowardly,” pledging that perpetrators would be brought to justice while cautioning against claims of religious motivation that could escalate tensions.
