Crystal Palace marked their first full campaign in European football with a 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in Poland on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League.
Colombian wing-back Daniel Muñoz opened the scoring in Lublin with a superb towering header in the first half.
Eddie Nketiah doubled the lead shortly before the hour mark, converting another cross from the impressive Yeremy Pino, as Palace extended their unbeaten run to a club record 19 matches.
Borna Sosa was sent off after receiving two quick yellow cards, leaving Palace to play the final 15 minutes with 10 men.
Palace earned their European spot by winning last season’s FA Cup final against Manchester City, though they were relegated from the Europa League to the Conference League after breaching UEFA’s multi-club ownership regulations.
The Premier League side’s only previous European outing was a two-legged Intertoto Cup tie in 1998.
Now among the favourites for the Conference League title, Palace will host AEK Larnaca of Cyprus in their next group match on October 23.
The Eagles are also set to face AZ Alkmaar, Strasbourg, Shelbourne, and KuPS in the league phase.
