(PHOTOS) Protests Erupt in Port Harcourt Over Tinubu’s Intervention in Rivers Crisis

 Scores of demonstrators have hit the streets of Port Harcourt over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reported intervention in the political crisis in the state.

On Thursday, News Central’s Niyi Omoniyi reports that plans were underway for dissatisfied citizens of the state to register march in solidarity with Governor Siminilayi Fubara and register their grievances through peaceful protest.

As early as 7 am on Friday, many members of civil society organisations, Labour unions, University union members and the Hausa community in the state gathered around Government House in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, expressing dissatisfaction. They massed around Government House, along Azikiwe Road, Port Harcourt chanting pro-Fubara songs.
