Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the Nigerian Government’s determination to defeat terrorism, declaring that those responsible for recent attacks will be decisively dealt with.
He stated that, beyond the presidential directive to security chiefs, the government is increasing investment in equipment and logistics to strengthen counter-terrorism efforts nationwide.
Shettima made the remarks on Wednesday in Maiduguri during a visit to victims of the bomb blasts receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President condemned the multiple explosions in Maiduguri on Monday, which affected over 100 people and left more than 20 dead.
