England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has reached an agreement with Everton on a new contract.
The 31-year-old joined the Toffees in 2017 from Sunderland for £30 million — a British record for a goalkeeper at the time. Sources informed BBC Sport that the club will make an official announcement in the coming days.
Pickford’s current deal runs until 2027, and he has been named Everton’s Player of the Year four times, including for the past three consecutive seasons. His contract renewal marks a significant boost for the club, following captain James Tarkowski’s new two-year extension earlier this month.
Since arriving at Goodison Park, Pickford has made 329 appearances, playing a crucial role in preserving Everton’s Premier League status through managerial changes, financial sanctions, and points deductions.
On the international stage, Pickford has earned 79 caps for England and has remained the national team’s first-choice goalkeeper since the 2018 World Cup.
Last week, he broke Gordon Banks’ long-standing record by keeping his eighth consecutive clean sheet during England’s 3–0 victory over Wales. Remarkably, he has not conceded an international goal in over a year, since the 2–1 Nations League loss to Greece.
