Pilot, Passenger Missing After Stunt Plane Crash

Emergency crews in Spain continued the search on Sunday for two people missing after an acrobatic plane crashed into the sea near Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands.

According to the Civil Guard, the light aircraft went down off the coast near the port of Sóller on Saturday evening following a series of stunt manoeuvres over the island’s northern shoreline.

Eyewitnesses aboard a nearby boat reported seeing the aircraft plunge into the water shortly after completing several acrobatic loops. Local media indicated the plane had departed around two hours earlier to carry out a scheduled aerial display.
