PSG Maintain Lead as Lee and Barcola Fire Double in Win Over Angers

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) bounced back from their midweek Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid with a dominant 4-2 win over Angers on Saturday, keeping them six points clear of second-placed Monaco in Ligue 1.

South Korea’s Lee Kang-in made an instant impact after being one of five changes to the PSG lineup, scoring twice in the first half. He opened the scoring on 17 minutes with a shot that crossed the line before Angers defender Jordan Lefort could clear it and added a second three minutes later from Marco Asensio’s low cross.

Bradley Barcola, Ligue 1’s top scorer, then took over, scoring his team’s third goal just after the half-hour mark, before heading in Lee’s cross to make it 4-0 in stoppage time.

While PSG relaxed in the second half, allowing Angers to pull two goals back in stoppage time through Esteban Lepaul’s volley and Emmanuel Biumla’s goal, the result never seemed in doubt. PSG remain unbeaten in Ligue 1, despite their struggles in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Monaco, who have impressed in Europe, staged a late comeback to win 3-1 at Strasbourg. Eliesse Ben Seghir scored twice, including a penalty, to turn the game around after Strasbourg had gone ahead. Monaco are now three points clear of third-placed Marseille, who were shocked by a 3-1 defeat to Auxerre.

Elsewhere, Lens fought back from 2-1 down to beat Nantes 3-2 at home, moving into fifth place in Ligue 1, one point behind Lille, who face Nice on Sunday.
