Paris Saint-Germain’s team bus was struck with stones outside their hotel in Bilbao overnight following the club’s Champions League match against Athletic, a source close to PSG told AFP on Thursday.
The bus was empty at the time and had been parked when the attack occurred, the source confirmed.
According to local media, the vehicle sustained two visible cracks, and police arrested two individuals in connection with the incident.
Despite the disturbance, PSG’s players and staff were able to reach the airport without issue on Thursday morning for their flight back to Paris.

The source added that the club is considering lodging an official complaint.
PSG, the reigning European champions, drew 0-0 away to Bilbao on Wednesday night, a result that leaves them third in the 36-team qualifying league. Athletic currently sit 28th.
