Paris Saint-Germain stormed into the Champions League last 16 in ruthless fashion, demolishing French rivals Brest 7-0 on Wednesday to complete a staggering 10-0 aggregate victory.
Luis Enrique’s side will now face either Liverpool or Barcelona in the next round after producing their biggest-ever European win.
PSG had already put one foot in the last 16 with a 3-0 victory in the first leg, but they showed no mercy at the Parc des Princes, with seven different players getting on the scoresheet. Bradley Barcola, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, Desire Doue, Nuno Mendes, Goncalo Ramos, and teenager Senny Mayulu all found the net in a rampant performance.
It was PSG’s first time scoring seven in a Champions League match since thrashing Celtic 7-1 in 2017, and they have now netted 21 goals in their last five games—despite struggling to score earlier in the competition.

“To score seven goals against Brest is not easy,” said Kvaratskhelia, a recent signing, after the match. The Georgian winger insisted PSG are serious contenders for the title, adding, “We come into every game to win. That is our goal and our dream.”
For Brest, it was a brutal way to end their first-ever European campaign. They had defied expectations with a historic third-place finish in Ligue 1 last season but were completely outclassed by their dominant opponents.
Midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou did not hold back in his frustration. “It’s pretty shameful to go out this way. To lose 7-0 is too much,” he admitted. “Paris are a great team, and I hope they go all the way, but this is unacceptable.”
Brest had brief moments of hope, with Mathias Pereira Lage nearly opening the scoring early on, and Lees-Melou hitting the post in the second half. But once Barcola broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, PSG never looked back.
Kvaratskhelia doubled the lead before halftime, and after the break, PSG ran riot. Vitinha, Doue, Mendes, and Ramos all added to the tally before 18-year-old Mayulu completed the rout in the 86th minute.
Brest’s nightmare was summed up when Abdallah Sima thought he had grabbed a consolation goal, only for it to be ruled out for offside.
PSG’s dominant display sets up a mouth-watering clash with either Liverpool or Barcelona in the last 16. The draw for the next stage of the tournament will take place on Friday, with the Parisians now brimming with confidence. If their recent form is anything to go by, they will take some stopping.
