Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met with Greece’s Defence Minister Nikolaos Georgios Dendias on Wednesday.
The details of the meeting were announced in a statement shared on X.
Jassim Al-Thani and Dendias discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries. They also noted measures to strengthen the ties between Qatar and Greece.
Their discussion focused on ways to resolve the disputes which have occurred in the Middle East since the United States and Israel launched attacks against Iran on February 28, which triggered reprisal attacks from Iran.

“The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to stop the unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and the countries in the region, warning, in this context, of the consequences of irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, especially those related to water, food and energy facilities,” the statement read in part.
“His Excellency further emphasised the need to strengthen coordination and intensify joint efforts, return to the negotiating table, and prioritise reason and wisdom, in a way that ensures global energy security, freedom of navigation and environmental safety, and preserves the stability of the region.”
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, in a separate meeting on Wednesday.
