Rabada is the lone Protea to be honoured at the ICC awards

He is the only South African to feature in the ICC’s esteemed ODI and Test teams for 2018.

Protea’s fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is the only South African to feature in the 2018 Test team of the year at the ICC’s annual awards.

Rabada finished the year as the number one ranked bowler in Test cricket and claimed 52 wickets to finish 2018 as the leading wicket-taker in the game’s ultimate format.

Virat Kohli was named as captain of both the ODI and Test sides, the Indian captain also ended 2018 as the top-ranked Test and ODI batsman in the ICC Player Rankings.

India finished the year as the top-ranked side in Tests and number two behind England in ODIs.
