Rain stopped play in Australia’s Champions Trophy Group B match against Afghanistan in Lahore, where a spot in the semifinals is up for grabs on Friday.
Australia was 109-1 after 12.5 overs, with Steve Smith and Travis Head undefeated at 19 and 59, respectively, as they chased 274 to win.
In the event of a washout, Afghanistan would be on the verge of elimination while Australia advanced to the semi-finals.
Azmatullah Omarzai hit 67 and Sediqullah Atal scored 85 as Afghanistan reached 273 all out in 50 overs.
