Confederation Cup holders Raja Casablanca of Morocco have named Frenchman Patrice Carteron as their new manager.

The 48-year-old former Al Ahly manager replaces Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido, who was sacked after a run of poor results that left the club in fifth position in the Moroccan league.

Carteron has had stints with French sides Cannes and Dijon, the Malian national team, TP Mazembe, Wadi Degla, Saudi side Al Nassar, and Phoenix Rising of USA.
