Simi goes on Instagram, to shower her husband with praises. Giving him accolades for being her inspiration, and for being a better artist and writer. She reveals that the album, Afropop volume 1 is a product of hard work that took over a year.
The wife of the artiste who recently became a mother reveals how hardworking her husband is, and he pushes himself every day, having a bite, hunger and desire for hunger.
She threw shade at those her husband counted on, but counted him out, because of his doggedness to write his own story. She reveals that the Afro-pop singer doesn’t take no for an answer, and he doesn’t just say he wants more, instead, he puts in the work and he gives his all to see his dreams materialize.
”I watched you worked on this for well over a year. I watched you become a better artist and writer. I watched you insist on writing your own story even when people you counted on counted you out. You inspire me so much. You never take no for an answer as long as you’ve seen it work in your dreams. I see you push yourself every day – you stay hungry. You’re an amazing artist Kunle. You don’t just say you want more, you actually do what it takes, I’m so proud of you. I don’t know if I tell you enough, but I am so, so proud.”
She also urges her fans and supporters that when they listen to Adekunle Gold’s project; Afropopvol1, they should not listen as though it is just another album, but that they should know that it is a work of art that he gave everything – and then more, and they should listen knowing that the album came from passion, through resilience, by a man that refuses to settle.
