Al Nassr footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is now 33 goals away from reaching a historic milestone of 1000 career goals.
The Portuguese forward scored his 966th and 967th goals during Al‑Nassr’s match against Al Najmah in the Saudi Pro League on Friday. The match ended with Al‑Nassr winning 5-2 against Al Najmah. Friday’s match marked Ronaldo’s 100th league appearance.
Since his arrival in the Saudi league in 2023, he has scored 97 league goals in 100 appearances and is now 3 goals shy of the 100-goal mark.

Ronaldo is considered one of the greatest players in football history and has won the prestigious Ballon d’Or five times. He has made over 1,300 professional career appearances, considered the most by an outfield player, and has scored over 960 official senior career goals for the football clubs he has played for and Portugal, making him the top goalscorer of all time.
He won his first World Cup at 17. Ronaldo made his professional debut at Sporting CP at 17. Alex Ferguson then signed him for Manchester United, where he played between 2003 and 2009, before moving to Real Madrid, where he played until 2018.
Juventus signed him in 2018. He played for the club until 2021, then returned to Manchester United that year. His stay there was, however, short-lived because Al Nassr signed him in 2022.
