Rubio Clarifies US Stance on Ukraine Plan

Several US senators reported on Saturday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed them that the 28-point proposal regarding Ukraine, recently championed by President Donald Trump, is not the official position of the United States.

According to the senators, Rubio clarified that the document, which Trump insisted Ukraine had days to accept, was instead a “Russian wish list” outlining Russian demands.

Republican Senator Mike Rounds confirmed the communication, stating that Rubio made it clear the US merely received the proposal, and it does not represent the US’s recommendation or peace plan.
