A Russian AN-22 military transport aircraft crashed on Tuesday near the village of Ivankovo in the Ivanovo region, located approximately 200 kilometres east of Moscow.
The country’s Investigative Committee confirmed that all crew members on board were killed. State media reports indicate there were seven people on the plane.
The crash occurred during a test flight that followed repair work on the aircraft, and the plane went down in an uninhabited area.

The Investigative Committee has launched an inquiry into flight preparation rules.
The incident is not believed to be connected to Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine, though accidents involving military equipment have become more frequent in Russia during the nearly four-year conflict.
