Ukraine launched a massive drone attack against Russia for the second consecutive night, with Russia reporting on Tuesday that it had downed 184 of the drones.
Most of the drones were intercepted in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod, according to a statement from Russia’s Ministry of Defence.
On Monday, Russia claimed it had shot down 251 drones in one of Ukraine’s largest counterattacks.
The strikes resulted in the deaths of two individuals and caused power outages, leaving around 1,000 people in Belgorod without electricity, as reported by local officials.
Kyiv has vowed to increase its attacks on Russian territory, targeting specific Russian oil facilities, viewing this as a justified reaction to Moscow’s continuous assaults on Ukrainian urban areas and its energy infrastructure, which have, at times, deprived millions of heating and electricity.
