A Russian aerial attack on the eastern Ukrainian city of Sloviansk on Tuesday killed an 11-year-old girl and her mother.
Regional officials confirmed that the strike, which utilised powerful glide bombs, also left 16 other civilians wounded, including a seven-year-old girl.
Local authorities released footage showing residential homes reduced to rubble as Moscow’s forces advanced to within 15 kilometres of the city.
The violence intensified across other fronts as well. In the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region, Moscow-installed officials reported that a Ukrainian strike on a village funeral procession in Skelky killed a priest and wounded six others.

Additionally, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod border region claimed a Ukrainian attack killed a truck driver in a frontier village.
These escalations come as the war nears its fourth anniversary later this month.
Despite ongoing diplomatic pressure from the United States, there has been no breakthrough in resolving the conflict, which remains the deadliest in Europe since World War II.
