The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched the Regulatory Hub, a centralised digital platform aimed at enhancing coordination, transparency, and oversight across Nigeria’s financial and capital markets.

According to an SEC statement, the new system links major regulatory and security bodies, including the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The platform allows these agencies to securely share information in real time.

The initiative comes ahead of new tax laws taking effect in January 2026, with the FIRS intensifying its monitoring of compliance across sectors.

SEC Director-General Emomotimi Agama described the hub as a key milestone in modernising Nigeria’s regulatory framework.

“The Regulatory Hub represents our commitment to leveraging technology for stronger regulatory collaboration. By uniting regulators on a single platform, we are enhancing market integrity, building resilience, and boosting investor confidence,” Agama said.

The SEC said the platform will also reduce procedural delays, enabling quicker, more informed decision-making across regulatory bodies.

Executive Commissioner for Operations Bola Ajomale stressed its practical advantages, noting that it provides a single interface for sharing data, responding to queries, and collaborating seamlessly to safeguard financial markets.

The commission added that the Regulatory Hub will support its wider objectives of investor protection, market stability, and harmonised regulatory activity, urging stakeholders to register their interest via email to gain access to the platform’s features.
