Eight more Palestinians were reportedly wounded by Israeli gunfire in the same area.

Medical sources also confirmed that the remains of 97 individuals have been retrieved from multiple sites in Rafah since Sunday.

The ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on Sunday morning, has sparked cautious optimism for an end to the devastation caused by Israeli bombardment over the past 470 days.

However, the ongoing reports of casualties underscore the fragile nature of the truce and the immense challenges ahead in ensuring a lasting peace.
