Senegal have become the first team from Africa to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

The Young Lions of Teranga beat West African rivals Ghana 2-0 in a Group B clash at the ongoing U-20 AFCON in Niger.

Youssouph Badji hit a brace for Senegal as they followed up their opening day 2-0 win over Mali with a crucial win over Ghana.

Mali defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 in the group’s other game to go joint second with Ghana, who they play in a winner takes all contest for the final World Cup ticket on offer in the group on Saturday.
