Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner secured his spot in the Monte Carlo Masters final for the first time with a dominant 6-1, 6-4 victory over Alexander Zverev on Saturday.
The world No. 2 showcased a clinical performance, dismantling the third-ranked German in just 82 minutes.
With this win, Sinner joins an elite group—including Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal—as the only players to reach the finals of the season’s first three Masters 1000 events.
The Italian was aggressive from the opening serve, breaking Zverev three times to sweep through the first set in 34 minutes.
While Zverev offered more resistance in the second set by stabilising his serve, he was unable to withstand Sinner’s relentless baseline pressure.

Sinner, who has dropped only one set in his last 21 Masters 1000 matches, expressed his satisfaction with his transition to the clay court surface, noting that a break of serve in the very first game set a decisive tone for the match.
Sinner now awaits the winner of the semi-final between defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and local favourite Valentin Vacherot.
If Alcaraz advances, the final will serve as a high-stakes showdown for the world No. 1 ranking.
Having already defeated Zverev in Indian Wells and Miami earlier this year, Sinner continues his incredible start to the 2026 season, proving to be the most consistent force on the ATP tour today.
