Reigning champions Oklahoma City, along with the Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls, all maintained their perfect records following impressive wins in the NBA on Monday.
These four unbeaten teams stood out on a busy night featuring 11 games.
Tyrese Maxey, a guard for Philadelphia, scored 43 points, while rookie guard VJ Edgecombe from the Bahamas contributed 26 points, leading the 76ers (3-0) to a 136-124 victory over Orlando at home.
The duo of Maxey and Edgecombe has combined to score 186 points across the Sixers’ first three games, marking the highest total for any starting backcourt in the season’s first three games since statistics began being recorded in 1970-71.
Edgecombe, who was selected third overall in this year’s NBA Draft, provided a spark as the Sixers opted to rest Cameroonian star Joel Embiid for left knee injury management.
“He’s elite, man,” Edgecombe said of Maxey, his partner in the NBA’s top-scoring starting backcourt through three games. “Very versatile, super fun guy to play with.”
Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player and scoring champion, poured in 23 points, while Chet Holmgren added 18 points and 11 rebounds to help the Thunder secure a 101-94 win against Dallas.

Despite outscoring Oklahoma City 25-14 in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks were ultimately unable to come back for the victory.
D’Angelo Russell’s floater brought Dallas closer at 95-94 with 54.8 seconds left, but Isaiah Hartenstein responded with a layup to extend Oklahoma City’s lead to 97-94.
Following Russell’s miss on a potential tying three-pointer, Holmgren grabbed the rebound for Oklahoma City, leading to two free throws by Gilgeous-Alexander with just 21.3 seconds remaining.
After securing a rebound from a missed three-pointer by Dallas, Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren sealed the win for the Thunder with final free throws, improving their record to 4-0.
Victor Wembanyama continued his strong performance in the 2025-26 season, scoring 24 points and pulling down 15 rebounds to guide San Antonio to a 121-103 victory at home against Toronto. Stephon Castle contributed 22 points for the Spurs, who also improved to 4-0.
Chicago’s Ayo Dosunmu led eight Bulls players in double digits by scoring 21 points, helping them secure a 128-123 home win over Atlanta.
Dosunmu converted 7 of 10 shots, including 4 of 6 from three-point range, while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 17 points, 17 rebounds, and nine assists, and Josh Giddey added 18 points and 13 rebounds, placing the Bulls at 3-0. Kristaps Porzingis was the top scorer for the Hawks with 27 points.
Lauri Markkanen, a Finnish forward, exploded for 51 points, finishing with two crucial free throws that sealed the win for the Utah Jazz over the visiting Phoenix Suns, 138-134, while Devin Booker led the Suns with 34 points.
For Denver, Jamal Murray scored 43 points, and Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double with 25 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, lifting the Nuggets to a 127-114 victory at Minnesota.
Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell led his team with 35 points, and Jarrett Allen added 20, guiding the Cavaliers to a commanding 116-95 win at Detroit, while reserve Tari Eason scored 22 points, and Alperen Sengun contributed 21 points in Houston’s dominant 137-109 win over Brooklyn.
Jonathan Kuminga led the Golden State Warriors to a 131-118 win over Memphis, finishing with game highs of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Anfernee Simons came off the bench to score 25 points as Boston easily defeated New Orleans, 122-90.
