Two of the biggest Ghanaian music acts Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have publicly reacted to their standing ban from the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Last year, both acts were banned from the awards scheme last year after their clash on stage which resulted in Stonebwoy pulling out a gun.

And now that this year’s award show is approaching and the ban has not been lifted, the two acts have expressed their disappointment at Charterhouse, the organisers of the VGMAs on social media.

Stonebwoy in a Twitter rant claims that the organisers don’t have the interest of Ghanianan music and musicians at heart.

“May I conclude that

@CharterhouseGH

 DOES NOT Have The Interest Of Ghanaian Musicians and Ghana Music At Heart.

With All Due Respect #MrsTeresa I’m Disappointed!!

Calling On Ghana Media To Help You Quench Our Careers Is A Very Low Blow.. #BhimGovernment”

Shatta Wale also reacted in a Facebook live video claiming they have no right to ban him as they have no control over musicians in Ghana.

After the unpopular event last year, the two Ghanaian acts publicly settled their differences and reconciled.
