Stonebwoy Ranks Highest Streamer on Boomplay Music Ghana

Stonebwoy stays winning as he gets five (5) plaques as the highest streamer on Boomplay. Ranking his as the first artiste in Ghana to get that kind of number. At the moment, Stonebwoy is the artiste with the most streamed songs on Boomplay. Boomplay is a service that allows for easy streaming and downloading of songs, owned by Transnet Music limited. The numbers are well curated by using the streaming platform’s user data.

Ghanaian prolific dancehall and afro pop sensation, has been honoured with five (5) different plaques, which has different number of streams on them. Having won the title for about two years in a row now, the multiple award winning songwriter and singer shares a photo of himself with the plaques he got, and captioned it, ”highest streamer on Boomplay Ghana”.

In a video he posted on Instagram, he prides himself in being the one having the biggest number on boomplay music Ghana. HE brags about how the plaques ought to have come a long time ago, and he is still ranking up the numbers.HE goes ahead to appreciate his fans; the BhimNation, and those who love Ghana music, and those who listen to him worldwide, and encouraged them to keep supporting his music by streaming his songs. In though video, he tags Kv online talent, kaystudios, Burniton Music Group and Boomplay Music Ghana.

Continually putting Ghana on the map, Stonebwoy just released the visuals of his song, ”Putuu”. After releasing the hit song in the second half of 2020, he releases the visuals two days ago. ”putuu” which means to pray, the musical video of the amazing song, was uploaded on Stonebwoy’s official YouTube channel.


The talented artiste takes the track up a notch by making it a fast tempo song, as opposed to his conventional style of singing. In fact, because of this, ”Putuu” was compared to P2pa Solja president patapaa due to its format, rhythm and rhymes.

His album, ”Anloga Junction” leads the pack as the most streamed album on Boomplay. This does not come as a surprise because, ”Anloga junction trended across West Africa. The album features collaborations with American singer and songwriter – Keri Hilson, one of the Nigerian leading artistes – Zlatan, multiple award-wining South African artiste- Nasty C, Tanzanian recording artiste –  Diamond Platnumz, and some other artistes.

Last year, the CEO of Burniton Music Group also took the award for the Bloomplay most streamed artiste, followed by Shatta Wale, who came in at second, and Sarkodie at third. Kwesi Arthur, Kuami, Eugene, King Promise also followed in that regard. Wendy Shay and Joyce Blessing came in at 7th and 8th respectively, and Dammy Lumba and the fast rising star; Fameye also made it onto it onto the list, by coming in at 9th and 10th position. 

The Boomplay app has over 60 million users, it says its vision is to build the largest and most reliable digital music ecosystem for artists and content creators in Africa.
